Oak Room

The Oak Room is one of two bedrooms built over the Great Hall between 1571-80 by the first George Lynne. It has a barrel roof and the original Elizabethan panelling. The four-poster bed, still in use, was made about 1630. Carving shows typical East Midland arcading.
