This is the ground floor of the wing built by George Lynn in the early 18th century at the same time as the staircase. The bay window with the Strawberry Hill Gothic front was probably built by his son, the last George Lynn. Typical early Georgian features are the panelling, scrolled bracket above the window and the china niche. The fireplace is regency.
